Endurance Shiraz

Endurance Shiraz is something special, made in very small quantities and only in years where the fruit quality is exceptional.

The Endurance Shiraz is made from fruit grown on mature 35 year old vines from the Westgate Vineyard.

Endurance Shiraz is a very elegant style with spicy overtones, rich berry flavours and soft and silky tannins.

This style is attributed to the natural aspects of the Grampians Region and the minimal intervention used in the development of the fruit in the vineyard and during the wine making process.

After fermentation, the wine is matured in French oak Barrique barrels for at least 12 months.

The Endurance Label was inspired by two significant events and a 30 year history "enduring the challenges of viticulture in a constantly changing environment" ................and when at 10.01pm on September 27th 2004, when Emma (the Dalkin’s eldest daughter) reached the rocky beach at Cape Gris-Nez near Calais in France after a 12 hour 35 minute sola swim across the English Channel, the Endurance name was born.
