Westgate Vineyard Country House is a 1950’s style farm house, extensively renovated to combine the unique mix or 50’s charm and modern day comforts. Generous provisions for a cooked breakfast are also provided.
The house is situated in a magnificent position, overlooking the vineyards and an extensive garden and right next to a solar heated swimming pool and only a short walk to a tennis court. The work on the farm and vineyard will go on around you and you won’t even notice.
Westgate Vineyard B&B has four peaceful bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and en-suite, two of the other bedrooms have either a queen and single or double and single and the fourth bedroom has two singles. There is also another two well-proportioned bathrooms. A very comfortable double sofa bed can be found in the TV room. A cot (and linen for it) is available on request. Feather doonas, ample pillows, electric blankets, all linen and towels help to complete the comfort. Single woollen doonas are available for snuggling in the living room..
The living area is spacious and has magnificent views from large picture windows. There is a dining table that comfortably seats 10, and comfy chairs and sofas to enjoy the cosy wood heater in winter. There is a split system for cooling in summer as well.

The kitchen is very well equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, crockery, cutlery, glassware and equipment to cater for 12 people. There are small supplies of staples such as flours, sugars, spices etc in the cupboard as well. There is also a herb garden at the kitchen door and in the future there will be a vegetable garden.
For those who are staying longer or don’t want to go home at the end of the weekend, there is a laundry with a washing machine, dryer (or washing line outside) iron and board. Powder is available on request.
Outside, enjoy the spectacular changing views, the peaceful garden, the relaxing eating area with gas BBQ, the solar heated pool, a game of tennis, or a walk along the ridge top. There are numerous wineries in the area including; Grampians Estate, Seppelts, Bests, and Montara. The Grampians National Park is just a short drive away and the towns of Ararat and Stawell have all the provisions you will need and have various types of eateries. Both have various attractions including Stawell Gift Hall of Fame, and J Ward, the old Ararat Gaol. Great Western General Store has basic supplies and excellent egg and bacon sandwiches. There is also a café and pub in the town. |
