The 2002 growing season was much cooler than normal, resulting in a very late harvest. This allowed for the enhanced development of dark berry flavours, while retaining the pepper & spice characters and a relatively low alcohol of 13%.

The Shiraz was picked on 15 th May 2002:            Beaume: 13.2

The Cabernet was picked on 15 th May 2002:          Beaume: 13.0

This wine is a 50/50 blend of Shiraz and Cabernet.

It is a light fruity style wine with soft tannins and ideal for summer drinking.

After fermentation, the wine was matured in Barrique Barrels until bottling in Nov 2004.

Consistent with Great Western tradition, this wine can be consumed now or cellared for many years.
