The 2005 season was ideal for Riesling.

Good rains in November encouraged good shoot growth and flowering.

Ideally timed follow up rains in February at veraison, and a dry ripening stage with warm to hot days and cool evenings, provided ideal conditions for ripening and flavour development.

The Riesling was picked on the 11 st April 2003,
Beaume 13.

The 2005 Westgate Riesling is made from fruit grown on mature (30 year old) vines.

A crisp and refreshing style on the palate, with a dry finish, create a traditional Great Western Style.
